July 2022’s What’s New is full of fantastic announcements from Microsoft Inspire, with several new innovations including Excel Live, Video Clip and Live Share coming to Microsoft Teams and Viva Goals coming to Microsoft Viva. We also announced our September and October Microsoft Campus Updates webinars (following a short break in August), with Veeam and Adobe joining us as guest presenters, respectively. Plus, Zoom is expanding its end-to-end encryption to both Zoom Phone and Breakout Rooms, Corel has released two exciting new products and has further enhanced its portfolio by acquiring Awingu, and Poly’s Studio R30 video bar is now Microsoft Teams-certified.

 


Microsoft Inspire 2022: What’s New in Microsoft 365

Coming soon to Microsoft Teams

This year’s Inspire saw many new Teams innovations announced, providing additional ways to connect, collaborate and enhance hybrid working.

In this short video, Microsoft Teams Product Marketing Manager Holly Lehman explains three of the most exciting Teams features coming soon:

  • Excel Live – Collaborate on Excel workbooks directly within Teams meetings, including viewing, editing, sorting and filtering your views
  • Video Clip – Create, record, edit and send clips in Teams chats to strengthen relationships with a friendly face
  • Live Share – Make any app collaborative within Teams meetings by co-watching, co-editing and co-creating dynamic content

In addition to Viva Learning, Connections, Topics and Insights, Viva Goals, Viva Sales and Viva Engage are coming soon!

Viva Goals is a goal-setting and management solution that aligns employees and teams to your organisation’s overall strategic priorities, ensuring that everybody has a clear purpose and are working towards achieving those common goals (OKR’s).

Viva Goals’ customisable dashboards provide valuable insights into task and objective progress, getting everybody engaged and helping to build a culture of collaboration and powerful results.
