We were also joined by SMART’s Professional Development Lead Mark Hartwright who showcased how SMART interactive displays are being used within education to allow live lectures to be remotely attended from campuses across the city, UK or even worldwide, as well as to facilitate global brainstorming sessions.

What’s NEW in Microsoft Teams | December 2022
With more and more of us heading back to offices and classrooms, Microsoft continue to lead the way when it comes to inclusive, hybrid collaboration. This month, Microsoft add even more Teams enhancements, including NEW Whiteboard features, NEW ways to clear up your chats and NEW certified devices so you never miss a thing.
- Microsoft Whiteboard – Microsoft Teams Rooms on Android Update 3 brings several touch-enabled enhancements and Microsoft Whiteboard can now be launched with just one tap on Microsoft Teams Rooms on Android displays.
- Chat and collaboration – Remove chat conversations you no longer need, express yourself with expanded reactions and emojis, and add people to a chat with a simple @mention.
- Certified Teams devices – Including Jabra Evolve Buds, Neat Bar Pro and EPOS EXPAND Vision 1.

Microsoft Teams Chat is coming to Outlook
Microsoft is further integrating Teams with Outlook as it announces a NEW chat feature.
The new feature is expected in March and is likely to be an expansion to the Teams functions currently integrated with Outlook and should allow users to quickly send or review messages without needing to open the Microsoft Teams platform separately.

IMPORTANT – Windows 7 End of Support
Windows 7 Extended Support ended on January 10th 2023. This means that Microsoft will no longer make Security Updates for Windows 7. If you are still running Windows 7, it is highly recommended that you upgrade to an operating system that is currently supported by Microsoft, i.e. Windows 10 or 11.

Adobe streamlines its Acrobat PDF integration with Microsoft Teams with NEW file opening feature
Adobe and Microsoft have revealed that Acrobat PDFs will now open directly in Teams instead of having to pre-select the Acrobat app.
By streamlining the process to enable direct file opening, it is now easier than ever for users to work on PDF files in Teams together with colleagues and stakeholders, allowing everybody to easily add comments, make notes and collaborate in real time.
Yealink RoomPanel’s NEW sensor firmware upgrade
Build Your Smart Workspace with Yealink RoomPanel – a dedicated Microsoft Teams certified device with a compact touchscreen that’s ideal for mounting outside your meeting spaces.
