What’s New August 2022
Plenty of exciting news in August with four new Veeam releases, including Backup for Microsoft 365 v6a and Backup for Azure v4. Adobe have released a major enhancement to Acrobat Pro with greater e-signature capabilities built-in. Veeam and Adobe also feature as guest presenters in our September and October Campus Updates webinars, respectively! Plus, Adobe MAX 2022 approaches, Apple announce new iPhones and Apple Watches, Microsoft Teams has been updated to include human language translation for scheduled meetings, with Teams for Education also receiving enhancements to Reflect and more! NEW Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 v6a now includes certified Teams backup! Veeam are proud to be one of the first backup vendors to achieve this Microsoft Teams Backup and Restore Certification.
This NEW v6a release also has many performance improvements, including:
- Up to 4 times faster backup and incremental runs for SharePoint and OneDrive
- Up to 2 times faster restores of SharePoint sites with large number of lists and items
- Up to 3 times lower egress costs for backup copy with Exchange, SharePoint and OneDrive
Plus, NEW Veeam Backup for Microsoft Azure v4, NEW Veeam Backup for Google Cloud v3 and NEW Veeam Backup for AWS v5 are also now available! These cloud-native backup solutions are purpose-built to work with Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud and AWS, providing solutions that are cost-effective, secure and hybrid-ready.

What’s New in Microsoft Teams for Education | August 2022
This month’s Microsoft Teams for Education updates include enhancements to Reflect, more detailed Assignments and Grades Reports, new Reading Progress tools to help students improve their reading fluency, and enhanced Education Insights into students’ engagement, learning progress and wellbeing.
Reflect is now a featured tab in your class team, just like Assignments and Grades. It also comes with many improvements such as custom questions, easier navigation for previous check-ins and Together View, which uses friendly Feelings Monsters to help students express themselves and build empathy.
Microsoft Teams now includes human language translation for scheduled meetings
This new solution, developed by Microsoft in partnership with the Welsh Government, allows designated interpreters to translate what is being said during your scheduled Teams meetings.
Attendees can now choose which language they want to listen to in real-time and can also switch between languages during the meeting, giving everyone more flexibility within your modern hybrid meetings.
